Powerball said on Tuesday that a single winning ticket for the $2.04 billion jackpot was sold in California.

The winning ticket was purchased at a service location in the Los Angeles County town of Altadena, according to tweets from California lottery officials.

According to the California lottery, the service centre receives a $1 million incentive for selling the winning ticket.
