OpenAI announces ChatGPT successor GPT-4

ChatGPT, OpenAI's widely used AI chatbot, has been updated to version 4.

The new model has the ability to interact with photographs, such as by suggesting meals based on shots of their constituent parts or by generating comments and descriptions.

Furthermore, it has a tenfold increase in processing power over ChatGPT, handling up to 25,000 words with ease.

ChatGPT has been around since November 2022, and since then it has been utilised by millions of individuals.

Requests for assistance with songwriting, poetry, advertising copy, programming, and schoolwork are common, despite professors' warnings against their usage.

Writing songs, poetry, marketing copy, computer code, and assistance with schoolwork are popular requests, while professors advise against it.

Concerns have been raised about the possibility that it may one day be able to do many of the tasks that are presently carried out by humans.

OpenAI said that it worked on GPT-4's safety features for six months and trained it based on what people said.

The first people who can use GPT-4 will be ChatGPT Plus subscribers, who pay $20 per month for extra features.

It already runs the Bing search engine platform from Microsoft. The big tech company put $10b into OpenAI.
