Indian batter Shubman Gill has achieved the milestone of scoring two hundreds in a Test match.
This time last year, Gill was on tour in Bangladesh, when he scored his maiden Test century. This year, he has repeated the feat in his own nation.
The fact that he struck a century in his second Test after just a four-innings layoff is evidence of his consistency across all forms at the top level.
During Gill's recent century in a test match, the Australian bowlers didn't seem to have much of a chance of dismissing him, which is a point that can be argued without contradiction.
While batting, Gill was in terrific form, often finding gaps with a mix of timing and risk-free smashes that made use of the favourable conditions and capitalised on the opportunities they presented.
In addition to his two centuries in Test matches, Gill has one in Twenty20 Internationals and four in One-Day Internationals.
