Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Jawan’ To Surely Beat ‘Pathaan’ At The South Box Office, Say Trade Experts

The exciting preview of Shah Rukh Khan’s new movie ‘Jawan’ clearly shows that this action-packed thriller will be a big hit and break records. The movie has lots of exciting parts and a great group of famous actors from all over the country. It’s the talk of the town right now. And this is just the start – SRK has already made a big name with his movie ‘Pathaan,’ and ‘Jawan’ will make it even bigger.

‘Jawan’ has already made 250 crore rupees by selling its rights to T-series. Since ‘Pathaan’ did well in South India, ‘Jawan’ is expected to do even better. Experts in the movie business believe there are many reasons for this.

SOUTH CONNECTION

Producer G Dhananjayan recently said, “This movie will do really well. ‘Jawan’ has South Indian stars like Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara, music director Anirudh, and director Atlee. They are all famous, and the South Indian audience will connect with them. So, the movie has a good chance of doing well in the South, especially after the preview of ‘Jawan,’ which had a big impact.”

Film expert Sreedhar Pillai said, “The South Indian market is crucial for ‘Jawan’ because it features South Indian artists and technicians. The excitement around ‘Jawan’ in South India is similar to what we see for big-budget South Indian movies. Shah Rukh Khan is a huge star in South India and has a big following here. The Tamil version of ‘Jawan’ will be as big as an original Tamil film.

Also, director Atlee has only made hit movies in the Tamil film industry.” It’s hard to predict the exact box office numbers for ‘Jawan’ in the South right now, but experts believe the movie’s rights will sell well. The rights for Tamil Nadu could be around 20 crore rupees, and for Kerala, they could be around 5 to 6 crore rupees. In the Telugu-speaking states, the Hindi version of the film is expected to do better than the Telugu version. In Karnataka, SRK has a strong market in Bengaluru, and the rights could be sold for 15 crore rupees.

Trade analyst Ramesh Bala said, “This SRK movie might have the best business for any dubbed Hindi film so far. The Tamil version of the ‘Jawan’ preview has created a lot of excitement, and it feels like a South Indian movie too. If the content is good, it could easily earn 50 crore rupees or more in Tamil Nadu alone.”

Even the movie trade in Mumbai is excited about the film, according to insiders. Pankaj Jaysinh, CEO of UFO Moviez India, said, “Records are meant to be broken. Everyone wants to break the previous record, whether it’s set by SRK or someone else. ‘Jawan’ has everything it needs. First, SRK has gained more fans with ‘Pathaan.’ Second, we have a great mix of talent with direction and stars. Third, action movies appeal to all kinds of audiences – they are fast and enjoyable to watch.”

‘Jawan’ is presented by Red Chillies Entertainment, directed by Atlee, produced by Gauri Khan, and co-produced by Gaurav Verma. The movie will be released worldwide in theaters on September 7th, 2023, in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
