Microsoft confirms Bing runs on the new GPT-4 model

The latest generative language model from OpenAI has been made search-friendly.

In January, Microsoft and OpenAI announced their renewed relationship and Bing search's AI-enhanced lookup capabilities.

For the last five weeks, Bing search has been driven by GPT-4, not GPT-3.5.

Microsoft considers Bing—and Google with Bard—as a pseudo-gatekeeper to the rest of the internet's information.

These firms want generative AI systems to provide consumers with context and information instead of sending them to other websites (Bard and Bing).

The algorithm will also design any relevant context the user found via independent investigation.
